Davis Blank Furniss, Gresham Wealth Management and Kay Johnson Gee are joining forces and will be staging a free event on Thursday 30th June in Manchester city centre that will help business owners prepare for an eventual sale of their company.
Steven Lindsay - corporate finance partner at Kay Johnson Gee – will kick things off with a presentation covering a number of corporate finance related topics including; maintainable profit, the importance of key management, buyers, business value, tax planning & timing.
Sonio Singh (pictured) – partner in DBF’s Corporate team - will then take to the floor to tackle the key legal issues faced by business owners at the point of sale. He will discuss share & asset sales, confidentiality agreements & heads of terms, due diligence and warranties.
The final speaker will be Becky Sugden - chartered financial adviser at Gresham Wealth Management. Becky’s presentation will help to demonstrate the options available to business owners throughout the stages of running and business and at the point of business sale. Using real-life examples, she will discuss saving and funding a retirement pot; how to deliver an income once retired and how to take advantage of the new rules under ‘pension freedom’.
