Manchester based legal services firm, AWH solicitors have appointed Viv Williams as their non-executive Chairman.
Viv has been bought in to strengthen the management structure of the business as the firm looks to accelerate its growth strategy over the next 2 years.
Viv is a leading consultant to law firms specialising in strategy, structure and management and will add additional expertise to the board of AWH. Viv is currently the Consulting Director of Symphony Legal and joint owner of merger business, Ampersand.
"Viv is a very well- known and respected person in the legal sector and I am delighted to bring him on board to help drive forward our expansion plans"
Viv states “I was introduced to AWH through the legal team at Pinsents, and I am delighted to join the board as nonexecutive Chairman. I will assist the current management team in their ambitious acquisition plans and provide the corporate governance and strategic advice required in a challenging sector. My previous experience of Chairing a technology business will also assist with the ongoing changes affecting this sector. I am also excited about bringing new opportunities into AWH and formulate strategic acquisitions in new sectors complimentary to the business. AWH has invested heavily into incorporating artificial intelligence into their case management software and is ideally placed to take advantage of the turmoil facing the personal injury sector with significant private equity backing.
Abdul Hussain - Managing Director of AWH commented “Viv is a very well- known and respected person in the legal sector and I am delighted to bring him on board to help drive forward our expansion plans. AWH will be making further acquisitions in the personal injury & consumer legal services market following our recent acquisition of Roberts Jackson Solicitors. We recognised the need to add additional expertise and experience to our team and Viv is a perfect fit for us. I look forward to working with him on our growth strategy for 2019 and beyond.”
AWH Solicitors have grown significantly over the last couple of years with multiple acquisitions in the personal injury market culminating in their most recent acquisition of Roberts Jackson. The firm currently offers services in family law, immigration, housing disrepair, private client, industrial disease and personal injury.
