National Commercial law firm Harper James Solicitors has announced the latest in a raft of senior management appointments with the arrival of Intellectual Property & Technology Partner Rob Cobley who joins the firm with immediate effect.

With particular experience working with technology and IP rich businesses - from crowd funded start-ups through to large multi-nationals – Rob’s new role will see him operate across Birmingham and the West Midlands.

He joins Harper James, which has grown from 1 partner to 5 since the start of the year, from Harrison Clark Rickerbys where he was based for nine years as Partner and head of Intellectual Property & IT.

Commenting on his new position Rob said: “The Harper James service model is a potential game-changer for any business whether you are a start-up or multi-national. It creates great client relationships by giving businesses access to the right commercially focussed legal advice at the right time in a way which works at all levels of growth. That’s particularly exciting in the field I work in, and I’m looking forward to providing specialist advice to Harper James’ growing clientele.”
